Most small churches (and even some large ones) don’t have the advantage of having an actual accountant who attends the church and is available to manage the church books/finances. Usually there is one person, other than the pastor, who knows a little about numbers or perhaps even has their own business or bank experience. I have over 20 years of experience in accounting for a large non-profit church. I will come alongside your treasurer and train them in the basics they need to understand in order to improve the financial integrity of your church. This include reporting to the board, payroll processes, budgeting, etc. I can also make recommendations for accounting software if your church is in need of upgrading their current product.
