SAFETY & SECURITY

We all know that there has been in increase in threats to major churches, schools, and businesses as it is always in the news about another shooting of some sort. This is what we usually think of when it comes to security and the small-town church usually thinks this will never happen in our church. I pray that you are correct. Well, there is another type of security which most churches don’t think about and that is regarding their policies and procedures. In today’s change political climate, Christian values and principals are constantly under attack. I believe it is only a matter of time before the Church in the US will start to feel the pressures of persecution on a larger scale. In my current work position, being on the board of a local church, and serving on a state level denominational committee, I have assisted with re-wording and improving policies of the church to better position them to withstand the onslaught of discrimination claims against the church. I will review your churches policies and procedures and discuss them with your church board to determine what or where they may need to make some changes to better secure the church against attacks both inside and outside the church.
